A comforting one-dish meal that combines the flavors and textures of tacos and nachos, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 cups tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • Chopped tomatoes (for garnish)
  • Chopped onions (for garnish)
  • Chopped cilantro (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat and stir in the taco seasoning and black beans.
  3. Layer half of the tortilla chips in a baking dish.
  4. Spread the meat and bean mixture over the chips, then sprinkle with half of the cheese.
  5. Add another layer of tortilla chips and top with the remaining meat mixture and cheese.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve topped with sour cream, chopped tomatoes, onions, and cilantro.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute ground beef with cooked lentils or quinoa. Customize toppings based on your preference.
