A beautifully glazed Teriyaki Salmon that balances sweet and savory notes for a delightful meal, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Teriyaki Sauce: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil to create the teriyaki sauce.
  2. Marinate the Salmon: Marinate the salmon fillets in the sauce for at least 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to penetrate into the fish.
  3. Heat the Grill or Skillet: Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat to get it ready for cooking.
  4. Cook the Salmon: Carefully place the salmon on the grill or skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, basting with the marinade, until cooked through and beautifully caramelized.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Garnish the salmon with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving, adding a pop of color and crunch.

Notes

Choose fresh salmon for best results. Allow marination for optimal flavor. Watch the cooking time closely to avoid drying out the salmon.
