Delightful strawberry cinnamon rolls infused with the comforting warmth of cinnamon and the sweet, juicy goodness of fresh strawberries.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
  3. Add in the softened butter, milk, and egg, stirring until just combined.
  4. On a floured surface, roll the dough out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  5. Evenly spread the chopped strawberries, ground cinnamon, and brown sugar over the rolled-out dough.
  6. Roll the dough tightly from one end to the other.
  7. Using a sharp knife or string, cut the dough into 12 equal rolls.
  8. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover them, and let them rise for about 30 minutes.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  10. While the rolls are baking, mix together the cream cheese, lemon juice, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  11. Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls and serve immediately.

Notes

Make ahead by letting the dough rise in the fridge overnight. Serve with coffee or tea for a delightful brunch.
