Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup strawberries, diced
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Activate your yeast: In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In another bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt together.
  3. Combine wet ingredients: Add melted butter, egg, and your yeast mixture to the dry ingredients.
  4. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes. Let it rise for 1 hour.
  5. Create the filling: Roll out the dough, spread cream cheese, and scatter diced strawberries.
  6. Roll it up: Roll the dough into a log and slice into 12 equal rolls.
  7. Second rise: Let the rolls rise for an additional 30 minutes.
  8. Bake to perfection: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  9. Glaze and serve: Mix glaze ingredients and drizzle over warm rolls.
