Delightful springtime cookies with a soft texture and dusting of powdered sugar, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar for coating

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the granulated sugar and softened butter until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture until fully combined.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls.
  7. Roll each ball in powdered sugar to coat.
  8. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set.
  10. Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Freeze for up to three months.
