A delicious twist on the classic cheesesteak featuring savory bulgogi, spicy kimchi, and melted cheese in a toasted hoagie roll.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef bulgogi
  • 1 cup kimchi, chopped
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 4 slices of cheese (provolone or cheese of choice)
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat the sesame oil over medium heat in a large skillet.
  2. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers, and sauté until softened.
  3. Add the beef bulgogi to the skillet and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in the chopped kimchi and soy sauce, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  5. Toast the hoagie rolls if desired for a crispy exterior.
  6. Fill each roll generously with the bulgogi and kimchi mixture.
  7. Top each packed hoagie with a slice of cheese and melt under a broiler if desired.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.

Notes

Feel free to customize with additional vegetables or use different meats or cheeses as preferred. Leftovers can be stored for up to 3 days.
