Delightful soft baked maple donut bars that are perfect for breakfast or as a snack, bringing nostalgic flavors to your kitchen.

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients: whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Combine the wet ingredients: mix the melted butter, milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and maple syrup.
  4. Combine the wet and dry mixtures by pouring the wet ingredients into the dry ones and stirring gently.
  5. Pour the batter into the greased baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Prepare the glaze: mix powdered sugar with a little maple syrup after the bars have cooled.

Notes
