Rich, savory slow cooked beef brisket that melts in your mouth, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 3–4 lb beef brisket
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste or tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Optional: 1 tsp paprika or dried herbs

Instructions

  1. Prepare the brisket. Pat brisket dry and season with salt and black pepper.
  2. Sear the brisket. Heat olive oil, sear brisket for 3-4 minutes on both sides.
  3. Layer the aromatics. Add onion and garlic to the bottom of the slow cooker.
  4. Combine ingredients. Place seared brisket on top, add beef broth and stir in tomato paste.
  5. Slow cook to perfection. Cover slow cooker and set to LOW for 8-10 hours.
  6. Rest and slice. Let brisket rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
  7. Serve and enjoy. Serve warm with your favorite sides.

For optimal tenderness, always slice against the grain. Store leftovers in the fridge or freeze for future meals.
