Delightful cookies filled with warm, gooey caramel and a sprinkle of flaky sea salt for the ultimate sweet-salty indulgence.

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup caramel chips
  • ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • ½ tsp flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl and set it aside.
  3. Cream the softened butter with both sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, fully incorporating each before adding the next.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. Mix in your dry ingredients until just combined.
  7. Fold in the caramel and chocolate chips gently.
  8. Scoop the dough onto the baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  9. Sprinkle the tops with a pinch of flaky sea salt.
  10. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are slightly soft.
  11. Cool on sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
