Delicious cookies that combine the richness of cheesecake with a drizzle of warm caramel and a sprinkle of sea salt.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • Sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream the softened butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until combined.
  6. Fold in half of the caramel sauce into the dough.
  7. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Drizzle the remaining caramel sauce over the warm cookies and sprinkle with sea salt.
  10. Let cool before serving.

Notes

For best results, ensure that butter and cream cheese are softened to room temperature. You can add nuts or chocolate chips for variation.
