A delightful blend of ripe peaches and bright lemons, perfect for quenching your thirst on hot summer days.

Ingredients

  • 68 large ripe peaches (about 3 pounds)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for peach puree)
  • 1/2 cup water (for peach puree)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (for peach puree)
  • 1 1/2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice (from 810 medium lemons)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for simple syrup)
  • 1 cup water (for simple syrup)
  • 46 cups cold water (for dilution)
  • Fresh peach slices (for garnish)
  • Fresh lemon wheels or wedges (for garnish)
  • Fresh mint sprigs (for garnish)
  • Ice cubes (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Prepare peaches and peach syrup by washing, pitting, and chopping them. Cook with sugar and water until soft.
  2. Make peach puree by blending the cooked peaches and straining through a sieve. Stir in fresh lemon juice.
  3. Prepare the simple syrup by dissolving sugar in water over heat, then allow to cool.
  4. Combine the lemon juice with the peach puree in a pitcher, then stir in the simple syrup to taste.
  5. Add cold water to the mixture to achieve your desired lemonade strength.
  6. Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for an hour before serving over ice with garnishes.

Notes

Adjust sugar levels to your taste, and consider using sparkling water for a fizzy twist.
