Delightful homemade pork potstickers with a crispy exterior and savory filling, perfect for gatherings or a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 20 dumpling wrappers
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Mix the filling in a bowl with ground pork, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Assemble the potstickers by placing a small amount of the pork mixture in the center of a dumpling wrapper.
  3. Seal the dumplings by moistening the edges, folding in half, and pinching to ensure they are tightly sealed.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Fry the potstickers until golden brown on the bottom, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Steam by adding enough water to cover the bottom of the skillet and covering with a lid.
  7. Uncover and cook through until the water evaporates, about 5 minutes.
  8. Serve hot with soy sauce for dipping.

Notes

Keep dumpling wrappers covered with a damp cloth to maintain moisture. Feel free to experiment with fillings like ground chicken or vegetables.
