  • Ingredients for cake (eggs, water, oil as per cake mix instructions)
  • 1 cup flavored gelatin (like Jell-O)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven and bake the cake according to the package instructions. Once it’s perfectly golden and a toothpick comes out clean from the center, allow it to cool for a few minutes on a wire rack.
  2. Using a fork, gently poke holes throughout the entire top of the warm cake.
  3. In a separate bowl, dissolve the flavored gelatin in boiling water. Stir it well until all the grains have melted away.
  4. Carefully pour the gelatin mixture over the cake, ensuring that it fills all the poked holes.
  5. Refrigerate your cake for at least 120 minutes.
  6. Once chilled, spread the whipped topping over the entire surface of the cake and serve.
