A comforting bake that combines the flavors of pizza with a healthy twist, featuring cottage cheese, mozzarella, veggies, and a crispy breadcrumb topping.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cottage cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup bell peppers, chopped
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup Italian sausage or pepperoni (optional)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the cottage cheese, mozzarella cheese, pizza sauce, bell peppers, mushrooms, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. If using, add Italian sausage or pepperoni.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle breadcrumbs evenly on top.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the breadcrumbs are golden brown.
  6. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
