Delightful pinwheels combining creamy cream cheese with sweet and spicy pepper jelly, all wrapped in flaky pastry.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of flaky pastry
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup pepper jelly
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the flaky pastry until it’s about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Spread the cream cheese evenly over the rolled-out pastry.
  4. Add the pepper jelly over the cream cheese.
  5. Roll the pastry tightly into a log.
  6. Slice the rolled pastry into 1-inch pieces.
  7. Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Brush the tops of the pinwheels with beaten egg.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

These pinwheels can be made ahead of time and refrigerated before baking. They can also be frozen for up to a month.
