Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by dissolving it in warm milk along with granulated sugar, melted butter, salt, and eggs.
  2. Mix well to combine and gradually add flour until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl and let it rise for about 1 hour.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  5. Spread softened butter evenly over the dough.
  6. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl, then sprinkle over the buttered dough along with chopped pecans.
  7. Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into equal rolls, placing them in a greased baking dish for a second rise (about 30 minutes).
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  10. Drizzle the glaze over warm rolls before serving.
