Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast in a large bowl with warm milk, granulated sugar, melted butter, salt, and eggs. Mix well and add flour gradually until a soft dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Let it rise in a greased bowl covered with a cloth for about 1 hour.
  3. Roll out the risen dough on a floured surface into a rectangle.
  4. Spread softened butter evenly over the rolled-out dough.
  5. Add a mix of brown sugar and ground cinnamon over the buttered dough, followed by chopped pecans.
  6. Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into equal rolls, placing them in a greased baking dish to rise again for 30 minutes.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  9. Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls and serve fresh.
