A delightful showstopper cake featuring rich chocolate, sweet strawberry, and classic vanilla layers, perfect for any celebration.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup pureed strawberries or strawberry extract
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • Food coloring (pink and brown)
  • Sprinkles (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour three 8-inch round cake pans.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition, and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix in the flour and milk alternately until smooth.
  5. Divide the batter into three bowls, and mix cocoa powder in one, strawberry puree and food coloring in another, leaving the last for vanilla.
  6. Pour each batter into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  7. Let cakes cool in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  9. Layer the chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla cakes on a serving platter with whipped cream in between.
  10. Decorate the top with sprinkles and serve slices.
