Crispy mozzarella sticks with a spicy Nashville hot twist, perfect for any gathering.

  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tsp Nashville hot chicken seasoning (adjust to taste)
  • 2 cups vegetable oil (for frying)
  • Hot sauce (to drizzle on top)
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cut mozzarella into thick sticks (about 1 inch wide).
  2. Set up three shallow bowls: one with seasoned flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko mixed with hot chicken seasoning.
  3. Dip each stick in flour, then egg, and finally coat with the panko mixture.
  4. Freeze the coated sticks on a parchment-lined baking sheet for about 30 minutes.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry mozzarella sticks in batches until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes per side.
  7. Drain on paper towels and drizzle with hot sauce before serving.

Notes

For extra crunch, consider double breading the mozzarella sticks. Ensure the oil is at the right temperature before frying to prevent greasy sticks.
