Crispy fried chicken with a spicy kick, served between soft buns and dressed with fresh toppings.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 sandwich buns
  • Pickles
  • Lettuce
  • Hot sauce (for dressing)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
  2. Mix the all-purpose flour, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dredge the chicken in the spicy flour mixture, coating well.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat and fry the chicken until golden and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  5. Assemble the sandwiches with fresh lettuce, fried chicken, and crunchy pickles.
  6. Drizzle hot sauce over the top of the assembled sandwich.

Notes

For best flavor, marinate the chicken overnight. Use an air fryer for reheating leftovers to maintain crispiness.
