  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 12 slices American cheese or cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat.
  2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping them attached at the edges.
  3. Prepare the garlic butter by mixing softened butter with garlic powder if using.
  4. Assemble the bottom halves of the rolls and stack two slices of cheese on each.
  5. Complete the sandwiches by covering with the top halves of the rolls.
  6. Grill the sandwiches for 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown.
  7. Flip the sandwiches and grill for an additional 3-4 minutes until the other side is golden brown and cheese is melted.
  8. Cool the sandwiches for a moment before slicing them into individual mini sandwiches.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
