  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, plus the vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips, making sure they’re evenly distributed.
  7. Spread the cookie dough evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Allow the bars to cool in the pan before slicing into squares and serving.
