Delicious twists of crispy pastry filled with chicken glazed in a sweet and savory mango sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 1 ripe mango, pureed
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 package of puff pastry or crescent roll dough
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix together the mango puree, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, ginger, garlic, and cornstarch to create the glaze.
  3. Coat the sliced chicken with the mango glaze and marinate for 15-30 minutes.
  4. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into thin strips.
  5. Place a marinated chicken piece onto each strip and twist the pastry around it.
  6. Arrange the twists on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute chicken with shrimp or tofu. Ensure even cooking by spacing out the twists on the baking sheet.
