A delicious, low carb twist on pizza that’s packed with flavors and vibrant veggies.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground sausage
  • 1 cup bell peppers, chopped
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup zucchini, diced
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ground sausage over medium heat until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  3. Add the chopped bell peppers, mushrooms, and diced zucchini to the skillet. Sauté until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let all the ingredients mingle for a few minutes.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake for about 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

You can add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick or substitute sausage with a plant-based protein.
