  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 pack ladyfinger cookies
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • Lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Whisking the Creamy Base: In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and granulated sugar until pale and fluffy.
  2. Folding in the Mascarpone: Gently fold in the mascarpone cheese until smooth.
  3. Whipping the Heavy Cream: In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then fold it into the mascarpone mixture.
  4. Preparing the Coffee Mixture: In a shallow dish, combine the cooled coffee, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
  5. Dipping the Ladyfingers: Quickly dip each ladyfinger in the coffee mixture and layer them in a serving dish.
  6. Spreading the Mascarpone Mixture: Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  7. Layering Again: Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and top with the remaining mascarpone mixture.
  8. Chilling for Flavor Development: Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  9. The Final Touch: Before serving, dust with powdered sugar and garnish with lemon slices.
