1 package of lemon jello
1 cup boiling water
1 cup cold water
1 cup whipped cream or Cool Whip
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Zest of one lemon (optional)
Instructions
Dissolve the lemon jello in boiling water. Stir until fully dissolved.
Add cold water to the jello mixture and stir well until combined.
Beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and lemon juice, and mix until well combined.
Gently fold in the whipped cream or Cool Whip into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated.
Gradually add the jello mixture into the cream cheese and whipped cream mixture, folding until combined. If using lemon zest, fold it in at this point.
Pour the mixture into a serving dish or individual cups, smoothing the top gently for an appealing presentation.
