Crispy, cheesy twists that combine the beloved flavors of jalapeño poppers, perfect for gatherings and snacks.

Ingredients

  • 1 package of flaky dough (like crescent roll dough)
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, chopped
  • 1/4 cup jalapeños, diced (fresh or pickled)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, cooked bacon, and jalapeños in a mixing bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Roll out the flaky dough on a lightly floured surface and cut it into strips.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cheese mixture at one end of each dough strip and roll it up, twisting the dough as you go.
  5. Place the twists on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Brush the twists with beaten egg to give them a golden color.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes
