Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/4 cup jam of your choice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the all-purpose flour, cold cubed butter, and sugar in a bowl until crumbly.
  3. Add the egg yolk and knead gently until a smooth dough forms.
  4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut out circles for tartlet molds.
  5. Press each circle into the tartlet molds.
  6. Fill each shell with your preferred jam.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Cool in the molds for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. Reheat briefly in a low oven for extra crispness.
