Ingredients

  • Shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • Cornstarch
  • All-purpose flour
  • Eggs
  • Hot honey
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the coating mixture: In a bowl, mix cornstarch, flour, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Drench the shrimp in egg, ensuring they’re fully coated.
  3. Coat the egg-drenched shrimp with the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  4. Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat until hot.
  5. Fry the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Drain the shrimp on paper towels and drizzle generously with hot honey before serving.

Notes

Make sure your oil is hot before frying to avoid soggy shrimp. You can also add a pinch of cayenne to the flour mixture for extra heat.
