A light and airy cake layered with sweet strawberries and fluffy whipped cream, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 angel food cake
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the angel food cake according to package instructions or your favorite homemade recipe, then let it cool completely.
  2. In a bowl, combine the sliced strawberries with sugar and let them sit for 30 minutes to macerate.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the cream with the vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  4. Once the cake has cooled, slice it in half horizontally.
  5. Spread half of the macerated strawberries over the bottom layer of the cake, followed by a generous layer of whipped cream.
  6. Place the top layer of the cake over the whipped cream and repeat the process with the remaining strawberries and whipped cream.
  7. Serve your Heaven on Earth Cake immediately, or chill it in the refrigerator until you’re ready to serve.
