  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup beef broth or water
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger (optional)
  • Cooked rice or quinoa (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Sauté the beef in a large skillet with olive oil over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic; cook for 3-4 minutes until the onion softens.
  3. Incorporate broccoli florets, soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and beef broth.
  4. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until the broccoli is tender and the sauce thickens.
  5. Stir in sesame oil and grated ginger; adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve over cooked rice or quinoa and enjoy!

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days or frozen for three months.
