Delicious sliders inspired by the classic Philly cheesesteak, featuring tender chicken, caramelized onions, bell peppers, and gooey provolone cheese on sweet Hawaiian rolls.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the skillet: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced onion and bell pepper to the skillet.
  3. Cook until they become beautifully caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add the chicken slices, season with salt and pepper, and cook until thoroughly cooked, about 5-8 minutes.
  5. Lower the heat and sprinkle the shredded provolone cheese over the chicken mixture.
  6. Assemble the sliders by slicing the Hawaiian rolls and spooning the chicken and cheese mixture into each roll.
  7. Serve warm, perhaps with a side of crispy fries or a fresh salad.

Notes

For perfectly caramelized onions and peppers, cook slowly on medium heat. Feel free to swap cheese or add different vegetables based on preference.
