Delicious taquitos filled with spiced beef, perfect for gatherings or family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • Oil for frying
  • Salsa for serving
  • Guacamole for serving
  • Sour cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Brown the beef in a skillet over medium heat, and drain any excess fat.
  2. Add chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Heat the corn tortillas in a dry pan until warm and pliable.
  4. Place a spoonful of the beef mixture in the center of each tortilla, then roll tightly.
  5. Heat enough oil in a deep skillet over medium heat to submerge the taquitos.
  6. Fry the taquitos in batches for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Drain on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  8. Serve warm with salsa, guacamole, and sour cream.

Notes

For a variation, try adding jalapeños or cheese to the beef filling. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for future snacks.
