Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the crock pot, ensuring they’re spread out comfortably at the bottom.
  2. Pour the salsa over the chicken, allowing it to cascade and cover every piece.
  3. Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and pepper on top of the salsa-covered chicken.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks right in the pot.
  6. Serve your Easy Salsa Chicken in tacos, bowls, or wraps.

Notes

For added flavor, let the chicken marinate in the salsa overnight before cooking. Adjust the spice level by adding jalapeños.
