Delicious crispy feta rolls wrapped in phyllo dough, drizzled with hot honey for a sweet and savory appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz feta cheese
  • 10 sheets of phyllo dough
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 1/4 cup fresh herbs (dill or parsley)
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Crumble the feta cheese into a bowl and mix it with chopped herbs, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Lay a sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush it generously with olive oil.
  4. Place another sheet of phyllo on top of the first and brush it again with olive oil.
  5. Spoon some of the feta mixture along one edge of the dough and roll it up tightly to create a log shape.
  6. Cut the rolled phyllo into bite-sized pieces and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Brush the tops of the rolls with more olive oil to ensure they bake up beautifully golden.
  8. Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, turning halfway for even baking.
  9. Heat honey in a small saucepan and add chili flakes to taste for that perfect kick.
  10. Drizzle the hot honey over the baked feta rolls before serving.

Notes
