Delicious crispy puffs made from leftover mashed potatoes, cheese, and simple ingredients, perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix together the mashed potatoes, shredded cheese, flour, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Heat Oil: Heat oil in a deep skillet or pot over medium heat.
  3. Form Potato Puffs: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of the potato mixture and gently form them into puffs or balls.
  4. Fry the Puffs: Carefully place the puffs into the hot oil, frying in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. Drain Excess Oil: Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
