  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 celery stalks, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Cook turkey bacon in a large pot over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. Add butter to the pot and sauté diced onions, carrots, and celery until soft, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  5. Add shredded chicken, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Reduce heat and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and cooked bacon, heating through before serving hot.
