A refreshing and creamy salad perfect for a warm day, combining cottage cheese and tuna with crunchy vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 can tuna, drained
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 1/4 cup bell pepper, diced
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine the cottage cheese and drained tuna in a bowl.
  2. Add in the chopped celery, red onion, and diced bell pepper; stir well.
  3. If desired, stir in the mayonnaise for extra creaminess.
  4. Season with salt and pepper and drizzle lemon juice if using.
  5. Serve chilled or on whole grain bread or crackers.
