Enjoy the nostalgic flavors of a McDonald’s classic with this easy homemade breakfast sandwich featuring sausage, egg, and melted cheese on a toasted English muffin.

  • 1 English muffin
  • 1 sausage patty
  • 1 slice of cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • Butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Split the English muffin in half and toast it until it’s golden brown and crispy.
  2. Cook the sausage patty over medium heat until it’s nicely browned and cooked through—about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  3. Crack the egg gently in the same skillet and cook it to your preferred doneness, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  4. Place the cooked sausage patty on the bottom half of the toasted muffin, add the slice of cheese, and then top it with the freshly cooked egg.
  5. Spread butter on the top half of the muffin and close the sandwich. Serve warm and enjoy!
