  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Begin by washing and slicing your apples into thin wedges.
  2. Toss the apple slices with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the granulated sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of nutmeg or ginger.
  4. Add the sliced apples to the bowl of sugar and spice.
  5. Combine the sliced apples with the sugar mixture until well coated.
  6. In another bowl, melt the butter and combine it with flour and salt until crumbly.
  7. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Pour the coated apple mixture into a greased baking dish.
  9. Sprinkle the crumbly topping evenly over the apples.
  10. Place the dish in the oven and bake for about 30-40 minutes.
  11. Remove the dish from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes.
  12. Scoop out warm apple slices into bowls and serve.

Notes
