Roasted Cabbage Steaks with Cheese

Delicious roasted cabbage steaks topped with cheese, a hearty and flavorful dish perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 large green cabbage
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1½ cups shredded cheese
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Remove the outer leaves from the cabbage and slice it into 1-inch thick steaks.
  3. Mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
  4. Coat both sides of the cabbage steaks with the olive oil and spice mixture.
  5. Arrange the cabbage steaks on the prepared baking sheet and roast them for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheese and grated Parmesan over the tops of the steaks.
  7. Broil for an additional 2–4 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven to retain crispiness.
