Warm, flaky croissants filled with gooey mozzarella cheese and spicy pepperoni, perfect for a snack or light dinner.

Ingredients

  • 8 large croissants
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning (optional)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Split each croissant in half longways.
  3. Layer shredded mozzarella cheese and pepperoni inside each croissant.
  4. Close the croissants gently to secure the filling.
  5. Beat the egg to prepare the egg wash.
  6. Brush the tops of each croissant with the egg wash.
  7. Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes until golden-brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and garnish with basil leaves if desired.
  9. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

These rolls can be made ahead of time and refrigerated before baking. They are also freezable.
