A comforting classic dish featuring tender chicken breasts filled with smoky ham and nutty Swiss cheese, all coated in crispy breadcrumbs and drizzled with creamy cheese sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 4 slices of smoked ham
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup creamy cheese sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Butterfly the chicken breasts carefully to create a pocket for the filling, then season with salt and pepper.
  3. Inside each butterflied breast, place a slice of ham followed by a slice of Swiss cheese.
  4. Gently fold the chicken over to enclose the ham and cheese, making sure the filling is well-sealed.
  5. Dredge each stuffed chicken breast in flour, dip it in the beaten eggs, followed by a generous coating of breadcrumbs.
  6. Place the chicken in a greased baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. While the chicken bakes, prepare the creamy cheese sauce.
  8. Once the chicken is done, drizzle the creamy cheese sauce over the top and serve hot.
