Ingredients

  • Soft pretzel dough
  • Ground beef
  • Cheddar cheese
  • Diced onions
  • Pickles
  • Mustard
  • Salt
  • Baking soda
  • Egg wash (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. Sauté ground beef with diced onions until browned; season with salt and mix in mustard and chopped pickles.
  3. Roll out the pretzel dough on a floured surface and cut it into squares.
  4. Assemble the pretzel bombs by adding a spoonful of filling and a piece of cheese in the center of each square.
  5. Seal the dough around the filling and shape into balls.
  6. Prepare a boiling bath by boiling water with baking soda.
  7. Boil each pretzel bomb for about 30 seconds, then place on a baking sheet.
  8. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with salt.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Serve warm with dipping sauces.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes.
