A delicious and nostalgic Cheddar and Bacon Turkey Melt on Sourdough, perfect for a satisfying lunch or quick dinner.

  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 4–6 slices roasted turkey breast
  • 4 slices cooked bacon
  • 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise or butter
  • Optional: tomato slices, Dijon mustard, or caramelized onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Spread mayonnaise or butter on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
  3. Lay two slices of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet.
  4. Layer with roasted turkey, bacon, and cheddar cheese.
  5. Top with the other slices of sourdough, buttered side up.
  6. Cook until the bottom is golden brown and the cheese begins to melt, about 3-5 minutes.
  7. Carefully flip the sandwiches and cook until the other side is golden and the cheese is fully melted.
  8. Optional: If you desire, add tomato slices, Dijon mustard, or caramelized onions before closing the sandwich.
  9. Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve hot.

Notes

Pair with sweet potato fries or a fresh green salad. Store ungrilled sandwiches in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
