A delightful cake featuring fluffy spiced apple layers and velvety cream cheese filling, topped with rich caramel sauce.

  • 2 cups apple spice cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup whipped cream (optional for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Mix the apple spice cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs until well combined.
  3. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Prepare the cream cheese filling by beating the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  6. Layer one cake layer on a serving plate and spread a layer of cream cheese filling on top, adding diced apples.
  7. Assemble by adding the second layer of cake, topping it with caramel sauce and whipped cream if desired.
  8. Drizzle more caramel sauce over the top to serve.

Notes

Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
