A comforting dish combining rich mac and cheese with spicy buffalo chicken, perfect for gatherings and game nights.

  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: green onions or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Whisk in the flour and cook for about 1 minute until slightly bubbly.
  4. Add the milk slowly, whisking until smooth.
  5. Stir in cheddar cheese, buffalo sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until cheese is melted.
  6. Combine the cooked macaroni and shredded chicken into the cheese sauce.
  7. Transfer to a baking dish if desired and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  8. Garnish with green onions or parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding smoked paprika or cayenne pepper. Substitute with different cheeses or proteins as desired.
