Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast: In a bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Combine dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Mix everything together: Add the sweetened condensed milk, melted butter, and the yeast mixture to the dry ingredients.
  4. Knead the dough: Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  5. Let it rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Shape the dough: Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased loaf pan.
  8. Second rise: Cover and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake to perfection: Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Cool and enjoy: Let it cool before slicing.

Notes

Ensure water is warm but not hot to protect the yeast. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
