  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional for topping)

Instructions

  1. Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Pour in the milk and add the BBQ sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Stir until combined and heated through.
  3. Fold in the cooked elbow macaroni and the shredded chicken, mixing well to ensure every pasta piece is coated.
  4. Add the shredded cheddar cheese to the mixture, stirring until melted and creamy.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle breadcrumbs evenly over the top if desired.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until heated through and golden.
  7. Let it rest for a minute or two before serving hot.
