  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Stir in flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper; cook for about 1 minute.
  4. Whisk in the milk, cooking until the mixture thickens.
  5. Stir in the shredded cheese until melted and smooth.
  6. Add the cooked macaroni, shredded chicken, and BBQ sauce; mix well.
  7. Serve immediately and garnish with green onions if desired.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of milk for best results.
